The proposed project will implement a Complete Streets element that includes crosswalk enhancements, bulb-out crossings, new Class II bike lanes, traffic calming roundabouts, sidewalk gap closures, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and upgraded traffic control devices in Downtown Palmdale within the area bound by 9th Street East to the west, Avenue Q-9 to the north, 10th Street East to the east, and Avenue Q-12 to the south. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer and/or his designee. The work is estimated to cost approximately $3,000,000 and shall be completed in 365 calendar days.
