Description

Contractors are invited to submit a bid proposal for the restoration construction project titled: St. Landry Housing Authority Termite Damage Repair at Unit 7C5, 799 St. Landry Veterans Memorial Highway, Washington, Louisiana 70589. Proposal bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the Classification of General Contractor. Each bona fide proposal bid shall comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No proposal bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. . The Work for this project is generally described as the selective interior and exterior demolition of finishes, damaged wall framing and sheathing, thermal and moisture protection, shoring and support, and storing/protecting existing masonry units and windows for reinstallation; also, the work includes the installation of new wood wall framing, exterior sheathing, moisture protection, and masonry unit installation, reinstallation of salvaged windows, joint sealants and caulking, floor and wall trim, cultured marble surroundings and wainscots, minor electrical work interfering with new work, gypsum board installation including tape, float, and painting, and painting to blend with the existing walls, and other miscellaneous work as described or required to complete the work. Proposal bids shall be a Stipulated Sum basis as per the original documents. Proposers will be notified immediately thereafter. The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 60 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. Proposal bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit on the Bid Form provided. Refer to Document 002113 Instructions to Bidders and 00 43 93 Bid Submittal Checklist for additional information. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. The successful contractor will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. A Pre-Bid conference will be scheduled by addendum.
