| Description | The Main Canyon/Davis Point project area contains a diverse ecosystem of ponderosa pine, mixed conifer, spruce and pinyon/juniper. Higher than historic amounts of conifer stocking exists as well as a high amount of live and dead surface material. This project will create a Defensible Fire Space through the removal of surface, ladder and vegetative materials in the area through thinning and piling. The project area is located approximately 14 miles West of Escalante, UT.The project area encompasses portions of: Township 34 South, Range 1 East, Sections 29,30,31,32 and 33. Township 35 South, Range 1 East, Sections 3,4,5,9 and 10. | ||
