Description | The proposed improvement is officially known as Stand by Power Service for Warren County Courthouse and Jail. The work for this improvement is located at the 100 West Broadway, and 121 N. A. St., in Monmouth, IL 61462. (b) The work for the improvement consists of installation of an electrical generator capable of providing power to the Warren County Courthouse, and adjacent Warren County Jail, to fully operate all powered equipment and utilities in the event of loss of commercial power. 3. BIDDERS INSTRUCTIONS. (a) Prospective bidders shall be experienced in the procurement, installation, and testing/certifying of a generator, and site preparation. Bidder shall submit three recent projects for reference along with the bid documents. (b) A bid bond or bid surety for not less than percent of the bid amount will be required to ubmit a bid on this project. (c) The successful bidder will hold the bid open for acceptance for 45 days after the scheduled bid opening. (d) The successful bidder will enter into a written contract provided by the contractor for the performance of the work within ten (10) days. A contract bond for the full amount of the contract will be required to be provided with the contract by the contractor. (e) This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus amount for fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. 4. REJECTION OF BIDS. The County of Warren reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive any informalities and/or technicalities in bidding pursuant to (55 ILCS 5/5-1022). 5.
