Description | As of May 28, 2021, this solicitation has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............... Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) requires the services of a Professional Engineering Consultant to prepare an alternatives evaluation and construction drawings / specifications providing for the widening of CR 532 from Old Lake Wilson Road to US 17/92. This project consists of an alternatives evaluation with a public meeting (Scope Part 'A') followed by development of design plans and right-of-way maps (Scope Part 'B') of CR 532 / Osceola Polk Line Road from Old Lake Wilson Road to US 17/92. The project length is approximately 2.9 miles and extends from the existing four-lane section on the east side of the Old Lake Wilson Road intersection to the R.R. crossing west of the US 17/92 intersection, whereupon the roadway will transition to a two-lane section at US 17/92. The limits include the intersection for the extension of the Poinciana Parkway (SR 538). The project will contain a four-lane divided roadway with multimodal accommodations as determined in the alternatives study, associated drainage improvements and storm water ponds, upgrading the Intelligent Transportation System, replacing the CSX R.R. crossing, and street lighting. Additional elements include surveying, drainage evaluation and design, permitting, signing and pavement markings, signalization,maintenance of traffic, utility design and coordination, geotechnical analysis, scheduling and project controls, progress reporting and other associated tasks and activities. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. |
