Description

The primary goals of the CPMS are: 1) to modernize the existing parking system infrastructure and practices to provide an easy user-friendly experience for all parking system users and administrators and 2) to fund the parking system without assessments to CCD property owners. The CPMS will have a contractor-hosted, web-based single interface system for all parking information including a parking asset database, permits, enforcement, and access and revenue controls. The interface will provide the information through either a dashboard system or an integrated data system in a manner that allows for a unified graphical user interface for the information available from the various sources of parking data including meters, License Plate Inventory and License Plate Recognition devices and enforcement devices. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing the full complement of system oversight services, including initial software installation, go-live, ongoing maintenance and updates, training and technical support during system implementation and operation. In-field kiosks for parking payment and vehicle registration are to be installed throughout the CCD so that all spaces are within 300 feet of a well demarcated kiosk. In-field kiosks are to be hard-wired for power and will use a wireless technology to transfer data to the City’s server in City Hall.
