Description | The principal feature of the proposed work is to formalize the interim intersection bump-outs with new curbing, sidewalk, and pedestrian ramps. Also included is the complete replacement of the existing traffic signal including pedestrian actuated signals, vehicular detection, pavement milling, resurfacing, and pavement markings. Buyers Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Certified Payroll - Contractors License Required - FOB Destination - Insurance Required - Local Service Required - Onsite Maintenance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Bid Intent Optional Bid Intent Deadline 01/05/2023 12:00 PM EST Question Acceptance Deadline 01/09/2023 03:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online No If the Contractor is delayed in completion of the work, or phases of the work, under this Contract by any act or neglect of the Owner or of any other Contractor employed by the Owner, or by changes in the work, or by any priority or allocation order duly issued by the Federal government, or by any unforeseeable cause beyond the control and without the fault or negligence of the Contractor, including, but not restricted to, acts of God or of the public enemy, fires, floods, epidemics, quarantine restrictions, strikes, freight embargoes, and abnormally severe weather, or by delays of subcontractors or suppliers occasioned by any of the causes described above, or by a delay authorized by the Village for any cause which the Village shall deem justifiable, then: For each day of delay in the completion of the work or a phase of the work so caused, the Contractor will be allowed one day additional to the time limitation specified in the Contract, it being understood and agreed that the allowance of same shall be solely at the discretion and approval of the Village. No such extension of time will be made for any delay unless the Contractor, within three (3) calendar days after the beginning of the delay, shall have informed the Village in writing of the nature of the delay, its cause, and its estimated duration. The Village will ascertain the facts regarding the delay and notify the Contractor within a reasonable time of his decision in the matter. The Contractor shall use all honorable and reasonable means to prevent or settle strikes, to avoid violations of labor agreements or other actions calculated to create dissatisfaction with working conditions. Should strikes occur, the Contractor shall make all proper and reasonable efforts to effect early settlement and resumption of the work. Should collusion by the Contractor be proven in the case of strikes or lockouts, then no extension of time for completion of the Contract will be given. Burden of proof in this case shall rest entirely with the Contractor. |
