Description | Provide Hydrobiological Monitoring Program Services in accordance with the attached Request for Proposals. Tampa Bay Water’s regional system for public drinking water supply includes surface water withdrawals for the Tampa Bypass Canal/Hillsborough River , Alafia River Water and Supply Facilities, and production of potable water from seawater at the Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination (Desal) Facility. Water use permits issued by the Southwest Florida Water Management District for the Tampa Bypass Canal/Hillsborough River and Alafia River Water Supply Facilities require the implementation of the TBC/Alafia hydrobiological monitoring program (TBC/Alafia HBMP) to provide assurance that permitted freshwater withdrawals will not adversely impact environmental resources. Tampa Bay Water also implements an elective hydrobiological monitoring program for the Desal Facility (Desal HBMP) to provide assurance that this water supply facility will not adversely impact environmental resources. Current Tampa Bypass Canal/Alafia River and Tampa Bay Desalination HBMP contracts expire on September 30, 2020 This five (5) year contract covers combined data collection, assessment, reporting and other required activities for continued implementation of Tampa Bay Water TBC/Alafia and Desal HBMPs from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2025. All services under this contract shall be performed within Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties. One (1) contract will be recommended to the Board of Directors for approval based on selection committee scores. Respondents should have an established reputation and documented successful experience in providing Hydrobiological Monitoring Program Services. The respondent selected is expected to have appropriately experienced staff and resources to provide comprehensive, reliable products and services regarding Hydrobiological Monitoring Program Services and will be required to demonstrate this via the submittal documents. |
