Description | As of 9/14/2023 no bids were received for this project this will be rebid at a later date. Work for this project will be located in the alleyway between Coal Avenue and Aztec Avenue from 2nd Street west to 3rd Street. Work on the project will include the removal of the existing driving surface and replaced with improved drainage surface. Work includes a road profile surface consisting of geogrid, concrete, sand bedding and brick. Additional work shall include a trench drain system with tie-in to existing culverts, existing meter cans, manhole collars and telecommunication covers, bollard protection and roof drain outlets. BID GUARANTY: A COPY of bid bond shall be submitted electronically with the bid and made payable to the owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid sum. NOTE: Original form of bid bond shall immediately be mailed to owner once bid proposal is determined low, responsive bid. Security shall be by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond prepared on a form acceptable to the owner, issued by a surety licensed to do business in the state where the project is located. The owner will retain these securities until a contract has been entered into. The bidder shall file the surety bonds and enter into a contract for the work within 15 days after notice of award of the contract. Should the lowest bidder refuse to enter into a contract, the owner will retain their security as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. If the lowest bidder fails to enter into a contract, then the next lowest bidder will be considered as the lowest bidder. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in 100% of the contract amount. The Performance Bond shall also provide for a 1 year guarantee for materials and workmanship once contractor is considered substantially complete.
