Description

Reference Number 0000328189 The Peoria Hills Park Playground Renovation project involves the construction of a new playground, concrete walking paths, picnic shelter, site furnishings, and landscaping. The current playground is small and out of date. Proposed improvements include but are not limited to earthwork, erosion control, concrete paths throughout the park, an accessible play area for children ages 2-5 and 5-12, a shelter with picnic tables and trash receptacles and benches. Landscape improvements include a limited renovation of the irrigation system. General Requirements - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Original bid bonds do not have to be mailed; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time. Liquidated Damages which are $200.00 per day. The Contract Documents require that all work be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days plus 10 consecutive calendar days for mobilization after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost for this project is from $875,000.00 to $925,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. *The City of Aurora reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, and to accept that bid which is considered to be in the best interest of the City.
