Description | Proposal from qualified turf contractors (proposers) interested in providing all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for design/build (turn-key) synthetic turf system, including; demolition of the existing grass field, re-grading (if necessary), and installation of a new infilled synthetic turf field at Overland Trail Middle School. A. Provide synthetic turf system consisting of: • Synthetic turf system that covers approximately 87,000 square feet (Asphalt D-Zone Excluded). • Preparation of both D-Zones (One for turf and the other for asphalt). • There will not be any logos or end zone lettering. • Any long jump runways and pole vault area will be relocated to asphalt D-Zone. • (2) new multi-function Football/Soccer goal posts with integrated soccer goals. • Prefer to use existing curb. • Field green turf with standard white (football) and yellow (soccer) line markings. • Option for Anti-shock pad. • Turf system shall be perforated for drainage with minimum infiltration rate of 14”/hr. • +/- 2.25” total thickness. • Water drainage and evacuation system consisting of properly sized drain. • Vertically draining porous stone aggregate base consisting of dual layered specifically sized stone. The first layer consisting of at least 4” deep crushed gravel base. The finishing layer shall be 2” deep and provide tight uniform finish surface over the base layer without settlement. • Perimeter edging. • Proof rolled and compacted subgrade. • Irrigation system. o Terminate and reroute all active irrigation lines from inside track to outside of track. o No active irrigation can be under synthetic turf. • Geotextile fabric underlayment. • Regrade and add additional crush refines to existing track. |
