CR 519 Intersection Improvement- New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT)

The project will provide operational and safety improvements at the Route 57 and CR 519 intersection. The intersection approaches will be widened to provide turning lanes and shoulders. The project includes replacement of two structures over the Lopatcong Creek. The existing bridges, on Route 57, immediately to the East of the intersection, and on Route 519, immediately to the North of the intersection, will be demolished and reconstructed further away from the immediate vicinity of the intersection. In order to accomplish this, the Lopatcong Creek will also be relocated. As of April 25, 2023, this project is included in the New Jersey Department of Transportation's FY 2023 Transportation Capital Program. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
