Description | As of June 26, 2023, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The State is looking for firms interested in providing professional Civil Engineering services for the project referenced above. The project scope will involve the design of repairing the MCN Campus, Stock Dam Removal at the Human Services Center in Yankton, South Dakota, OSE # H1321--08X/SWMR The design services will include watershed, geotechnical studies and civil analysis and design to repair the existing stock dam at the Human Services Center. The scope changed from removing to repairing the stock dam. The stock dam has not been maintained for decades. The 120-year-old earth dam is located directly west of the physical plant and is approximately 180 feet in length. The construction budget for the project is to be determined by the design team prior to developing a contract. It is anticipated that the selected firm will provide a full design necessary for the State to construct and manage. Firms desiring to be considered for providing professional services for this project should send a statement of interest that outlines qualifications and experience for this project. Statements of Interest should at a minimum include the following: 1.Specialized expertise, capabilities, and technical competence as demonstrated by the team's capabilities, proposed approach and methodology to meet the project requirements. (30%) 2.Resources available to perform the work, including any specialized services, within the specified time limits for the project. (30%) 3.Record of past performance, including price and cost data from previous projects, quality of work, ability to meet schedules, cost control, and contract administration. (5%) 4.Availability to project locale. (10%) 5.Familiarity with project locale. (10%) 6.Proposed project management techniques. (5%) 7.Ability and project history in handling special project constraints. (10%) A technical review committee will select the firm based on the criteria shown. The committee respectfully requests that statements of interest be limited to 25 pages or less. This is not a requirement; merely a request.
