Project Title: Medical Waste Incinerator Facility, Fort Detrick, Frederick, Maryland Project Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District w as requested to assist the Installation Management Command (IMCOM), specifically Fort Detrick, with executing the construction of a new medical waste incinerator facility at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland in. A new medical waste incinerator facility is required to dispose of regulated medical waste generated inside the National Interagency Biodefense Campus (NIBC) at FT Detrick, MD without the need to transport solid waste to an off-site facility. This proposed procurement is Full and Open Competition (Unrestricted); NAICS 236210, Industrial Building Contruction, with a size standard of $39,500,000.00 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. This is a firm-fixed price two (2) phase Design-Build Construction Contract utilizing the Best Value Tradeoff Process.
