E-rate Category 2 Equipment

The WUSD has currently deployed 863 Cisco Wireless Access Points at 12 locations (Map on page 12). There are a combination of (521) 2702i APs, (306) 2702e APs, (31) 2602i APs, and (5) 2602e APs. The 2702i APs and 26021 APs are all ceiling mounted using the standard Cisco mounting bracket. The 2702e APs and 2602e APs are also mounted inside the building, but are cabled through a conduit to an outdoor Ventev M6060060MO1D43602 antenna. Nothing is physically mounted outside but the antenna. All WAPs are PoE powered from existing Cisco edge switches (802.3af), and all existing cabling is CAT6e. It is not the intent of this project to replace any edge switches, cabling or mounting hardware The project herein may be contingent upon the approval of funding from the Universal Service Funds Schools and Libraries Program, otherwise known as E-rate. Even after award of contract(s) and/or E-rate funding approval is obtained, the District may or may not proceed with the project, in whole or in part. Execution of the project, in whole or in part, is solely at the discretion of the Distric The Applicant reserves the right to reject any or all quotation submittals and to waive any informalities or regularities.
