Description | In general, this project is for renovation and addition to the existing Middle School. The work shall include renovations and additions as required to construct (2) new classrooms; a sally trap secure entrance vestibule with administrative accessory spaces; site improvements required to construct/improve additional vehicular parking areas; and a new covered bus canopy adjacent the existing bus loop drive. The designs include, but are not necessarily limited to the following: reinforced concrete footings and floor slabs; reinforced CMU walls; cold formed. metal trusses/framing; Shingle roofing and sheet metal; EIFS; Brick veneer; Windows/Doors/Frames; Gypsum Board; thermal insulation; sat ceiling assemblies; resilient flooring; interior and exterior painting; MPE systems including plumbing, HVAC, lighting and power; earthwork; selective demolition; fencing; concrete & asphalt paving. Location: 112 West College Street, Mayfield, Kentucky Bid security shall be submitted with each bid greater than $100,000.00, in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. Bid security shall be in the form of a bid bond issued/executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the commonwealth of Kentucky or a certified check. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The $400 deposit will be held and refunded to each person who returns the plans and specifications in usable condition within fourteen (14) days of the bid opening date. After this fourteen day period no refunds will be made for Plans and Specifications returned. A maximum of two sets may be obtained by refundable deposit. Additional sets over two may be purchased for $400.00 with no refund. Shipping: Additional shipping charges as determined by River City Printing will apply. Electronic copies of documents may also be obtained provided one hard copy set as noted above is obtained prior.
