Description | The proposed project is located along I-10 at the Ehrenberg, Bouse Wash, Texas Canyon and San Simon rest areas, where a truck parking availability system will be implemented to detect the number of available truck parking spaces and provide real-time information to the traveling public via Dynamic Parking Availability Signs (DPAS) and software applications. The proposed work consists of the installation of CCTV Cameras, Radar Detection Systems, Dynamic Parking Availability Signs, solar power equipment, software integration, connecting to existing electrical services, and related work. I-10 000 to 388 southwest 102484 The time allowed for the completion of the work included in this contract will be 350 calendar days. The Arizona Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award To submit a valid bid, the bidder must (1) have prequalification from the Department as necessary for the project, and (2) be included on the project Plansholder List as a Prime. The Application for Contractor Prequalification may be obtained from the Contracts and Specifications website. This project requires electronic bidding. If a request for approval to bid as a Prime Contractor is received less than 48 hours prior to bid opening, the Department cannot guarantee the request will be acted on. This contract is subject to the provisions of Arizona Revised Statutes Section 42-5075 -- Prime contracting classification; exemptions; definitions. No proposal will be accepted from any contractor who is not a duly licensed contractor in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes 32-1101 through 32-1170.03. The Department may not answer all questions, and any decision on whether a question is answered will be within the sole discretion of the Department.
