Description | The Supplier shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, expendable equipment, temporary services and supervision required to provide and deliver the following: 1. A thorough inspection of 42 backflow preventers at the 14 parks listed. See pages 7-10 for complete breakdown of backflows by location. 2. Proper and completed documentation of each inspection is the responsibility of the supplier, which should be sent to the corresponding regulating jurisdictions. Cincinnati Water Works or Hamilton County Public Health. See pages 11 and 12 for sample inspection sheets of past years. 3. A copy of the completed inspection documentation should be emailed (for GPHC's records) to amarcrum@greatparks.org. 4. Any inspection that reveals the need for repairs or replacement, will need supporting documentation. The supporting documentation should be a detailed explanation of repairs needed, and associated costs broken down by individual backflow preventers. 5. No repairs or replacements should be started without the written permission of the GPHC. 6. GPHC reserves the right to seek additional quotes for any repairs. 7. Supplier will need to give Park Managers a 24 hour notice before inspecting property, a copy of each Park Manager's contact information will be provided to the supplier whose proposal is chosen to perform the backflow inspections. 8. A daily meeting with an authorized GPHC employee must occur where work areas are discussed and approved by the GPHC authorized employee. All work and access must be approved daily, to avoid conflict with programming or events. 9. Work will not be permitted on Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays without written permission from the park manager. 10. Final clean-up of area will be responsibility of the Contractor. All walkways, trails, paved areas, lawn areas and any other area where the Contractor is working shall be thoroughly cleaned of any debris generated by the inspection process. 11. Traffic control is the sole responsibility of the Contractor and shall comply with requirements for maintaining traffic as indicated in the current edition of Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, the proposal, specifications and the plans. 12. The Contractor shall not leave a hazardous work site unattended or un-barricaded during the work day, or overnight. 13. It is the responsibility of each Bidder to acquaint themselves with the existing field conditions related to performance and labor, the facilities involved, and the difficulties and restrictions attending the performance of these specifications. All inspections must be completed by the dates indicated by Cincinnati Water Works and Hamilton County Public Health (between the months of April and October 2021), unless otherwise approved by written permission by GPHC. 15. All repair or replacement proposals are to be sent via email within 48 hours of failed inspection, unless otherwise approved by written permission by GPHC. |
