Contract was awarded to Affordable Construction & Demolition, LLC bid amount of $24,795.00. Project has been started. The work includes but is not limited to, the demolition, site clearing, proper disposal of waste materials, backfilling and site restoration of the existing duplex building located at 1004/1006 North Shamokin Street, Shamokin, PA. Each proposal shall be accompanied with a Bidder's Bond, or certified check or cashier's check in favor of the greater Shamokin Area Development Corporation, in the amount of at least 10% of the total bid. The Greater Shamokin Area Development Corporation reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days, with the right to extend the time up to 120 days if additional time is required. State Prevailing wages will apply if the contract is in excess of $25,000.00 The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, non discrimination in hiring practice, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation by Section 3 residents and business and related matters.
