Description

The Project consists of construction and renovation of a new in-fill building between the existing gym building and the existing technology center building adjacent to it. Site work is also required. A Bid Bond for 5% of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal. Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required. All easements and rights-of-way for this project have been obtained. City permits and approvals have not yet been obtained. This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with Federal requirements relating to equal opportunity and to the Davis Bacon Act, Kopeland Anti-kickback Act, Executive orders 11246 and 11375, Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Urban Development Act of 1968 as well as other Federal Regulations as contained in the Project Manual. This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. The City is committed to providing all persons with equal access to its services, programs, activities,education, and employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability or age. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it appears in his best interest to do so. Bids submitted from the three apparent lowest bidders shall be held by the Owner for a period of 60 days from the receipt of Bids unless an extension past 60 days is acceptable to the Bidder.
