Central Region Shrub Planting FY2022

Division of Wildlife Resources. Plant up to 18,777 shrubs tdo improve winter range for Big Game and other wildlife. Requested locations: Heber, Ephraim, Santaquin, Levan, Vernon, Stansbury Mts. Provide: services in this contract to provide for wildlife habitat improvement by planting 18,777 shrubs to improve winter range for Big Game and other wildlife. This task order includes the Contractor to furnish labor, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals. Location and Description : The Central Region Shrub Planting project is to plant 18,777 shrub seedlings. The seedlings are grown in D40 pots that measure 2.5” X 10” pots. They also have VEXAR mesh protectors surrounding them. The project is located at several different sites. Each site is at a different wildlife management area within central, UT. Awarded bidder will be required to pick up 11,277 plants at High Mountain Nursery in Heber, UT and distribute them out to the WMA areas below. The remaining 7,500 plants are scheduled to be delivered by the awarded vendor (on a different purchase order) to some of the WMA locations below. This is why the awarded vendor for this contract has to pick up 11,277 plants and not all 18,777. 1. 2,950 seedlings are to be planted at the Wallsburg WMA (Heber, UT). 2. 2,470 seedlings are to be planted at the Black Hills WMA (Ephraim, UT). 3. 4,250 seedlings are to be planted at the Santaquin WMA (Santaquin, UT). 4. 5,000 seedlings are to be planted at the Levan WMA (Levan, UT). 5. 2,702 seedlings are to be planted on Sheeprocks Mountains, near Vernon, UT. 6. 1,405 seedlings are to be planted near Muskrat Fire Station on the west side of the Stansbury Mountains. 7. Total Shrub Seedlings: 18,777.
