Roofs 2021 Referendum Professional Services Municipal Facilities

The services listed below are not inclusive to all the required work to successfully replace a municipal roof while enabling the facility to be solar ready. The proposed schedule will need to be verified and potentially modified ensuring that only roofs eligible for grant reimbursement are replaced. The project will conclude only once all the roofs listed in the referendum are replaced. The Consultant will ensure all items needed are met to successfully deliver the referendum goals, including but not limited to the following: a. Field measure and survey the existing conditions. b. Review past building records to determine age of roof. c. Survey the existing roof decks, roof structure, chimneys, windows, and other roof top construction for any deterioration and required repairs. d. Identify obsolete and abandoned roof top structures to be removed from roof. e. Conduct core cuts and document composition of the existing roof system. Sample and test for asbestos and other hazardous materials for specification development. f. Assist Owner in the selection of a roof system best suited for the building. g. Review sites’ power consumption and electrical distribution system for PV integration. h. Review structural ability of the roof to support PV.
