Description | The Orange City Town Hall building located at 205 E. Graves Avenue in Orange City, Florida was built in 1928 and listed on the state's register of historic structures. The structure is a three-story brick building. The roof is comprised of slate tiles, copper gutters and down spouts and a cupula which houses the original Town Hall clock (still operational). Status: Staff has identified damage to interior ceilings and attic spaces due to water intrusion. Staff is uncertain if the basis for the water damage is due to the slate tiles or the cupula. Action: The City is seeking a qualified licensed commercial roofing contractor to conduct an inspection of the slate tile roof and cupula and provide the City a report and list of recommendations to the repair or replacement of the roof. The selected contractor will have to provide a lift to access the roof. There is no inside access to the slate roof. Award: Once the City has a preliminary report, a scope of work will be developed and those services will be solicited by formal solicitation. Bid Bond None M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. |
