Description

The work in this Contract includes, but is not limited to, roadway, streetscape and sidewalk improvements along a section of Essex Street from North Street to Washington Street with geometric modifications to curb and sidewalk for the installation of curb extensions, crosswalks and ADA ramps. Minor drainage improvements will be required to properly accommodate the curb extensions and raised crosswalk. The work includes full-depth pavement reconstruction, hot mix asphalt paving, granite curb, raised crosswalks, IMPRINT crosswalks, concrete sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, ornamental street lighting, streetscape improvements, loam and seed, sidewalk vault modifications, safety control and signing for construction operations and other incidental items included in the contract documents and specifications.
