Connecticut Avenue Widening 32nd Street to I-44 Bridge

The Project consists of re-constructing Connecticut Avenue between the I-44 bridge and 32nd Street. Project will include curb and gutter, storm sewer, 10-foot wide ADA-compliant trail on the west side, and a 6-foot wide ADA-compliant sidewalk on the east side of Connecticut Ave. The street will be constructed as a five-lane road. Driveways along the project will be reconstructed, as needed. Plans and Specifications must be secured at City of Joplin located at 602 S Main St. Joplin, Missouri 64801 or through the City of Joplin's website. The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in the construction specifications and are to be considered as a part of this Notice to Contractors. A detailed listing of all subcontractors shall be provided by the Bidder. In accordance with the Contract Documents, documentation that the prospective General Contractor and its subcontractors meet minimum qualifications shall be provided and submitted. The Director of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The City of Joplin hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
