Description | The County of Galveston is seeking a contractor to remove and reconstruct the boat ramp in Bayshore Park, 5437 FM 646, Bacliff, Texas 77518. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved removal/ replacement and mitigation of the damaged boat ramp and removal of accumulated sediment material. The United States Corp of Engineers has reviewed and provided a Letter of Permission (LOP) for the project. Provisions of that LOP shall be adhered to in the performance of the contracted work. The project scope consists of providing material, labor, and equipment including, but not limited to the following: oRemoval, staging, transporting, and legal disposal of sediment from the area immediately in front of the boat ramp; oConstruction, maintenance, and removal of the required cofferdam/dewatering system; oRemoval and legal disposal of existing boat ramp elements; oExcavation for the new boat ramp; oConstruction of a new cast-in-place boat ramp including ancillary components as indicated on the drawings; oFinal site cleanup and restoration of any areas disturbed by the project construction. Submittal Instructions: Sealed proposals in sets of six (6), one (1) unbound single-sided original, five (5) single-sided copies, All proposals must be marked on the outside of the envelope: RFP #B221022, BAYSHORE PARK BOAT RAMP Proposers name and return address should be prominently displayed on the proposal package for identification purposes. Pricing: Submitted prices, if required and applicable, shall be either lump sum or unit prices as shown on the proposal sheets. The net price shall be delivered to Galveston County, including all freight, shipping, and license fees. Galveston County is tax exempt, and no taxes should be included in proposed pricing. Payment for products and/or services received will be made by a Galveston County issued check after receipt of a valid invoice received and processed by the Galveston County Auditor. Bonding Requirements: oPROPOSAL SURETY: Evidencing its firm commitment to engage in the contract if proposer is selected for award of contract, each proposer is required to furnish with their proposal, an acceptable Bidder's Bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total proposed contract price. The Bidder's Bond must be executed with a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas. Failure to furnish the bid/proposal guarantee in the proper form and amount by the time set for opening of proposals may be cause for rejection of the proposal. oPERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Successful proposer, before beginning work, shall execute a performance bond and a payment bond, each of which must be in the full amount of the contract and each be executed by a corporate surety in accordance with Section 1, Chapter 87, Acts of the 56th Legislature, Regular Session, 1959 (Article 7.19-1, Vernon's Texas Insurance Code). oDAVIS-BACON WAGE RATES: Davis-Bacon Wage Rates are requirements for this solicitation. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rates are required to be paid to laborers and mechanics. |
