| Description | DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project work consists of channel maintenance dredging in various locations from Cut 50 through the Lower Terminal Channel of Jacksonville Harbor as defined in the drawings. Excavated material will be placed in Bartram Island Cell A. Work also includes turbidity monitoring, endangered species observers (hopper dredges only) and sea turtle trawl-sweeping (hopper dredges only), dedicated manatee and sea turtle observer (mechanical dredges only), bird monitoring, and disposal area pumpout. Work will be divided into a base and one option. The base will include dredging of approximately 248,000 cubic yards of material from the Lower Terminal Channel, while the option will include dredging of approximately 116,000 cubic yards of material from Cut-50 through Cut-55. |
