Water Transmission Main Valve Replacement, Phase 2

includes, but is not limited to, removing existing piping, fittings, valves and manholes on the twin 24-inch water transmission mains and existing 12- and 6-inch interconnections and furnishing and installing new 24- and 20-inch Class 52 ductile iron piping, fittings, valves, and hydrants (Work Area No. 1 to 11 – Base Bid) and replacement of approximately 750 feet of existing 20-inch diameter ductile iron water main and with new 20-inch Class 52 ductile iron piping coated in zinc and VBio polyethylene encased (Work Area No. 12 –Alternate No. 1).The work of this contract also includes furnishing and installing new water service connections, fittings, valves, hydrants, connections to the existing water system, installing and removing temporary service pipe, all earthwork, dewatering and drainage, pavement replacement, wheelchair ramps, restoration, utility crossing, traffic management, miscellaneous work and cleanup.
