Description | The City of Dunbar will be accepting bids for the installation of approximately 650 linear feet of 36-inch HDPE corrugated drainage pipe along Marks Rd. in Dunbar WV. The City of Dunbar will supply the HDPE drain pipe for the project. The winner contractor will be responsible for: SCOPE OF WORK: 1. Remove and replace 520 linear feet of 36 inch storm drain along Marks Rd. 2. Storm drain trench shall be over excavated 6 inches after removal of old pipe to ensure proper bedding. 3. Mark all lateral connections while removing existing storm drain. 4. Install new drop inlets as needed to connect laterals. 5. Furnish all materials for re-connecting lateral drains. 6. Furnish all bedding stone and gravel. 7. Furnish all backfill material. 8. Replace all driveways with like materials. 9. Replace fencing 10. Seed and straw all lawn areas. 11. Contractor is responsible to restore or replace areas and structures damaged during construction. BID ITEMS: 1. Removal and disposal of existing storm drain at per linear foot (lf). 2. Removal and disposal of all excavated materials at an approved disposal site at per lf. 3. Installation of new storm drain at per lf. To include bedding and backfill materials. 4. Install new drop inlets (WV DOT 36 Type G) with H2 rated grates and all connectors, sealant, bedding and backfill at per unit. 5. Connection of existing lateral storm drains to the new storm sewer, to include all fittings, pipe (if necessary), bedding and backfill at per lf. 6. Replace all existing driveways with like material and construction. All replaced areas of concrete will be a minimum of 6 inches thick. Concrete driveways will be lump sum priced per driveway. 7. Restore all stone surface areas to grade with a minimum of 2 inches of fresh gravel. The City of Dunbar reserves the right to refuse any and all bids at their sole discretion. |
