Description

The work consists of removal and/or relocation of desig- nated existing fare vending machines, installation of newfare vending machines, station validators and transitiongate readers including foundations, surface restoration,modification to existing network equipment and connec- tions, modifications to existing electrical and communi- cations infrastructure, installation of new electrical andcommunications infrastructure and system testing tosupport the new AFC 2.0 system. New equipment will beprovided by the Authority. The work will be performed attransit stations, LRT, BRT, busways, ferries, bus stops andnon-station locations throughout the MBTA service area inMassachusetts.
