Description

Place gravel or crushed concrete in identified locations (shown in Attachment) as stated in the line items to follow. The improved area should be suitable for vehicle and forklift traffic. Contractor will have access to base supply of crushed concrete for use of base course/gravel. Any additional material will need to be supplied by the contractor. 1. The contractor will do cut/fills in order to have the appropriate areas to grade to accept 8” of base course. Suitable material moved can be placed in other areas where needed. 2. The Contractor will scarify and prepare the site for adding Base Course. This includes subgrade preparation, which will also require density and moisture testing as per user’s standard. 3. The contractor will have access to crushed concrete (from reuse area on base) base course as gravel equivalent to build the eleven appropriate areas (noted on drawing) at a depth of 8 inches. 4. The contractor will process and compact (to 95%) the material in 2 lifts, in order to achieve a proper density and moisture level per user’s standard. Testing will need to be done as per user’s standard. 5. The contractor shall maintain a positive drainage flow for all area’s worked on. 6. The contractor will supply and install an 18” culvert to run through the area #4 pad. It will be required to have 12” of Base Course on top of it. Borrow material or engineered fill may be used as a subgrade. 7. The contractor will supply a Power Broom or Sweeper Truck in order to maintain a clean work area.
