Description

Provide all labor, materials and equipment required for a chiller replacement at the SLCSD Horizonte Instruction & Training Center, SLC, Utah per the specifications, terms and conditions contained herein All questions must be submitted in writing on Periscope Source or asked at the pre-bid site visit. Questions and answers from the site visit will be posted on Periscope Source. Questions posted on Periscope Source will be answered on Periscope Source. Do not ask questions in any other format. Only answers issued through the Periscope Source system or issued via an authorized and properly issued addendum shall be the official position of the SLCSD. Any modification to this procurement effort shall be made by addendum issued by the Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD). Only authorized and properly issued addenda is considered the official position of the SLCSD. A bid security is required in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid amount. Bid bonds/securities may be scanned and uploaded, submitted in person, or sent by mail. Your bid bond must be received prior to the bid due date and time. The address is 995 W. Beardsley Place, Salt Lake City, Utah. A 100% Performance and Payment bond will be required from the selected contractor. A minimum of a S350 HVAC Contractor license is required to submit a bid on this project. Upload a copy of your Contractor license when submitting your bid on Periscope Source. A. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment to replace one chiller at Horizonte Instruction and Training Center, 1234 South Main Street, SLC, Utah per the specifications, terms and conditions contained herein. Chiller to be replaced will be Chiller #1. B. Contractor shall: 1. Remove all existing wiring and piping form the old chiller 2. Remove the old chiller and install new chiller in place on the housekeeping pad. Dispose of old chiller in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations 3. Recover all R-22 refrigerant and return it to the SLC School District (SLCSD) 4. Recover all glycol and reserve it for the SLCSD to determine whether it can be reused or not. If the SLCSD determined that the glycol cannot be reused, contractor shall dispose of glycol in accordance with standard requirements of the trade. 5. Connect all wiring and piping to support recommended flow per manufacturer's instructions or recommendations. 6. Identify chiller installed by the full model number. This information is to be provided to the SLCSD project manager before the project will be accepted. 7. Work with SLCSD controls personnel to ensure that BAS is communicating with the chiller to SLCSD standards. 8. Perform factory startup to ensure that the new chiller operates as designed 9. Clean up work site per the cleanup
