Upper Darby Police Sally Port

A. Upper Darby Township is providing a secure area at the Upper Darby Police Station for transferring people to and from police vehicles. B. The improvements include the installation of an extension of the existing canopy at the back of the building. Including four new foundations. The new steel canopy extension will include four ( 4) footings and shall connect into the existing canopy. Additionally, the new canopy will include a corrugated metal roof that shall include a standing seam metal roof as provided by Atas or approved equal. The metal roof shall have a colonial seam, overlayed over ¾" plywood and felt paper, and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. Additionally, the existing roofing system shall be completed removed over the existing canopy and replaced to match the new roofing system. C. Interior lighting is proposed within the canopy to be installed by Upper Darby Township Electrical Department. D. The sallyport will include a 8' high chain-link fence with a sliding gate and man gate. The sliding gate and man gate shall be same materials as proposed on the approved plans, or equal. The security fence will include a electronic vehicle gate. (Electrical scope to be completed by Township) E. Installation of protective bollards.
