Description | Scope of Services The work to be done consists of the upgrade of three (3) existing traffic signals for left-turn phasing operation improvements at the intersections of Ball Road at Walnut Street, Anaheim Boulevard at Santa Ana Street and La Palma Avenue at Acacia Street/Anna Drive . This shall include installation of traffic signal poles; foundations; signal heads; signal controller and cabinet; conduit; pull boxes; conductors; accessible pedestrian signals; traffic signing; removal and reconstruction of ADA access ramps; concrete sidewalk and all additional work necessary to properly construct the proposed improvements, in accordance with the contract documents. Other Details For the purposes of bid evaluations and fairness to all bidders, the City will evaluate the Total Base Bid Proposal. The lowest responsive responsible Base Bid bidder will be selected. Work under the Alternative Bid (if any) may be authorized, if it is determined at the sole discretion of the City, that work under the Alternative Bid is within the City's available budget. All bidders shall further understand that the City reserves the right to reject all bids. All Bids shall be in accordance with the "Invitation to Bidders" and "Instructions to Bidders". Submission of COA Fiber Optic Cable Experience Form with bid is required. Notes No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a Public Works project(submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for Public Work on a Public Works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. This project is funded by State Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funds. This shall include installation of traffic signal poles; foundations; signal heads; signal controller and cabinet; conduit; pull boxes; conductors; accessible pedestrian signals; traffic signing; removal and reconstruction of ADA access ramps; concrete sidewalk and all additional work necessary to properly construct the proposed improvements, in accordance with the contract documents. The goal of this project is to provide for the safe and efficient movement of vehicle and pedestrians at the project intersections. All questions related to the contract documents or plans shall be submitted in writing online through PlanetBids no later than Thursday, October 26, 2023. |
