Airfield Lighting and Electrical Upgrades Project at Triangle North Executive Airport

The work may be generally described as the replacement and removal of the existing taxiway and runway lighting systems with new LED lights and signs, conduit, cable, and fixtures; the replacement of the existing PAPI-2s with PAPI-4s; the installation of new REILs for Runway 23; the replacement of the existing primary wind cone; and the installation of a new Airfield Electrical Vault, including an aggregate service road. Work elements shall include, but not be limited to, the removal of approximately 215 runway and taxiway lights; the removal and replacement of the existing PAPI-2s with PAPI-4s; the removal and replacement of the existing primary wind cone; the installation of approximately 250 runway and taxiway lights; the installation of approximately 20 runway and taxiway signs; the installation of approximately 40,000 linear feet of electrical conduit and approximately 105,000 linear feet of electrical cable; the installation of 3 constant current regulators; and the installation of a new Airfield Electrical Vault.
