Demolition of Structures, RACM, 920 No-3rd Street and 924 No- 3rd Street - Phase III

This project involves the demolition of the following dangerous structures according to the contract documents and specifications: 1. 920 No. 3rd St. 2. 924 No. 3rd St. The above work shall be commenced as soon as possible after the contract and bond have been approved by the City Attorney and have been signed by the Mayor and City Clerk. The notice to proceed for this project shall be issued on or before March 29, 2023. The start date shall be March 29, 2023. All demolition work must be fully completed on May 31, 2023. All site work must be complete by June 30, 2023. Liquidated damages shall be per the Special Conditions. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount as security that the bidder whose proposal is accepted will enter into a contract for the above, and will provide the required bonds, with sureties to be approved by the City Council, which respective sum will be retained by the said City as agreed liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within ten (10) calendar days after award of the contract and post bond satisfactory to the City insuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and maintenance. The City of Clinton does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
