UCH - Dermatology Clinic Renovation

UConn Health (UCH) is renovating approximately 7,800 square feet of the Main floor of the Clinic (C) building located at the 263 Farmington Ave, Farmington, CT campus. The renovation will create a Dermatology Clinic specializing in the treatment of psoriasis including space for research use. The design team consists of Amenta Emma Architects and Consutling Engineering Services (CES) for engineering disciplines. The renovation will require working within an occupied building, work will encroach into a main corridor leading to the cafeteria with heavy traffic periodically during the day, floors above and below the main floor will be occupied during construction which will require a lot of coordination with the owner and general contractor. Finishes will similar to the newly renovated areas of the C building and will include MEP upgrades. HVAC changes include tying into a new previously installed AHUs and modifications to existing HVAC systems. Building services include: domestic water, sanitary, sprinkler, BMS & HVAC, data/ telephone rough-ins, fire alarm, security rough-ins and electrical. The anticipated construction value is approximately $ 1,800,000.
