2023 Well Rehabilitation Project

This questionnaire is to be submitted to the following; the outside clearly marked BIDDERS PROOF OF RESPONSIBILITY: Attn: Jeff Ledin, PE Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. 3535 Vadnais Center Drive St. Paul, MN 55110-5196 651.490.2000 Major Components of the Work Include: This Project is Being Conducted to Accomplish Repairs and Maintenance Operations of the City's Well 13 Pump, Well 15 Pump, and Well 21 Pump. A. Downhole Well Equipment at Wells 13, 15, and 21 Will Be Removed for Inspection, Repaired or Replaced, Painted and Reinstalled. B. Well Cleaning Will Be Completed as Specified. C. Upgrades to Wellhead Equipment Including Replacement of Air Release Valves and Check Valves Will Also Be Part of This Project. D. Any Equipment Disengaged for Inspection Operations Are to Be Reconnected (E.g. Pressure Transducers). Repairs and Maintenance Operations Are to Occur at the City's Booster Pump 2. A. Booster Pump 2 to Be Removed for Inspection, Repaired or Replaced, Painted and Reinstalled. Repairs and Maintenance Operations Are to Occur at the City's Wash Water Pump at the East Water Treatment Plant, and Wash Water Pump at the West Water Treatment Plant. A. Remove Wash Water Wash Pumps for Inspection, Repair or Replace, Paint and Reinstall. B. Upgrade Equipment Associated With Each Pump, Including Air Release Valves, Check Valves, Flow Control Valves, Butterfly Valves, and Flow Meters. C. Add Variable Frequency Drive to West Water Treatment Plant Wash Water Pump. Additional Description: for This Project, Bids Will Only Be Received Electronically. Bid Security in the Amount of 5 Percent of the Bid Must Accompany Each Bid in Accordance With the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor Responding to These Bidding Documents Must Submit to the City/owner a Signed Statement Under Oath by an Owner or Officer Verifying Compliance With Each of the Minimum Criteria in Minnesota Statutes, Section 16c.285, Subdivision 3. This Work Shall Be Subject to Minimum Wages and Labor Standards in Accordance With the State of Minnesota.
