Description

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or Bid bond for not less than 10% of the amount Bid, but not exceeding $20,000. Consent of Surety A Consent of Surety letter from a responsible Bonding Company must be included in the Bid as required by the Contract Documents. Bid Submission Procedures Bid must be made on the standard Bid Form in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the project and address of the Bidder on the outside. The Bid must be delivered to the Owner prior to the prescribed Bid Opening time. Statutory Requirements Bidders are required to comply with all statutory requirements including the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 127 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1999, C. 238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages), P.L. 2004, C. 57 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements), and P.L. 1987, C. 48 (Submission of the Names and Addresses of Certain Subcontractors (NJSA 40A:11-16)). During the performance of this contract, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 ET SEQ and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action); all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended; the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)(29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety; P.L. 1977, C. 33, Disclosure of Interests; and the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, all as amended and supplemented, Proof of Business Registration, N.J.S.A.52:32-44, Non-collusion anti-kickback requirements. Rejection of Bids: Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designed in the Contract Documents.
