Description All sanitary waste piping, exposed and concealed in walls and above ceilings, serving the basement, first, and second floors of the facility shall be replaced. New waste piping shall be installed in the same location and connected to existing fixtures. Existing vent piping, as well as hot and cold pressure piping shall remain, however, various plumbing accessories will also be replaced. To facilitate replacement of sanitary waste piping various ceilings, and walls will be removed and replaced. Both gyp board and lay in ceilings will be affected as well as gyp board, and masonry walls. Finishes affected by the plumbing work will be redone, and masonry floors subject to wet conditions shall be re-coated. Electrical work shall include replacement of existing fluorescent lighting fixtures with LED fixtures. Existing ceiling mounted devices such as smoke detectors, speakers, exit signs, and CCTV cameras shall be temporarily supported and reinstalled in conjunction with new ceiling installations. The project shall be constructed in five phases to allow the shutdown and replacement of waste piping vertically.
