Pump Stations PS-2 and PS-3B Improvements

The work includes the following: Pump Station PS-2: Demolishing the existing underground wet well and dry well structures and mechanical and electrical components. Install new underground precast concrete structures, deep excavation and piling foundation, protective lining system in wet well, new submersible sewage pumps with piping and controls, new backup emergency backup generators and elevated steel platforms. new curb, fencing, site and roadway restoration and various site improvements. Pump Station PS-3B: Construction of a Control Building on a new elevated platform above the 500-year flood elevation, piling foundation; replacement of existing submersible pumps with controls, piping and valves inside the pump station structure, concrete restoration in the wet well and drywell, surface preparation and apply new protective lining system in the wet well and dry well. As designed, the platform will have provisions to accommodate future relocation of the Port Liberte Association emergency generator and its supporting electrical system that are currently existing at the site. The other improvements at the work site involve modifications to underground utilities, electrical work and controls, modified gas piping for the new generator, curbs and fencing, demolition of equipment and related utility services, and other site restoration works as specified in the construction contract.
