Ledge Street at Nashua Canal Sidewalk and Guardrail - City of Nashua

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Nashua, New Hampshire. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway. Along Ledge Street between Stevens Ave. and Patten Ct., a chain link fence is the only protection between traveling vehicles and the canal. This request is to replace the existing chain link fence with a crash rated barrier to improve vehicle safety while maintaining proper pedestrian access. On October 11, 2009, a vehicle crashed into the fence and landed in the water of the canal highlighting the need for the improvements. As of June 16, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2028 CIP. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2023 and FY 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
