Description

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Walton-Verona Intermediate School Package Wastewater Treatment Plant consisting of a new 5,000 gallon Average Daily Flow (10,000 gallon peak daily flow) extended aeration package treatment plant, approximately 275 LF of 8" PVC Gravity Sewer, 15 LF of 2" PVC Water Main, four manholes, one headwall together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings. The BIDDING DOCUMENTS, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Bid Bond, Agreement, Notice of Award form, Notice to Proceed form, Construction Performance Bond, Construction Payment Bond, Sample Certificate of Insurance form, Application for Payment form, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Change Order form, Technical Specifications, Addenda, and Drawings, may be examined at the following locations: Walton-Verona Independent Schools 16 School Road Walton, KY 41094 GRW Engineers, Inc. 10350 Ormsby Park Place, Suite 101 Louisville, KY 40223 OVERNIGHT DELIVERY via UPS or FedEx of the Bidding Documents shall only be made using recipient's billing account number. Bids from anyone not on the Issuing Office's Plan Holders List will be returned unopened. Questions should be directed to Nicholas Gunselman by or before noon on July Friday, July 21, 2023. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to ensure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the Walton-Verona Independent Board of Education within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Walton-Verona Independent Board of Education for the failure to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. The Walton-Verona Independent Board of Education reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids.
