Description | The Housing Authority of the Borough of the Highlands (the "Authority") is requesting proposals from qualified Contractors for the two entry vestibules of Building 'C', located at 121 Waterwitch Ave. in Highlands, NJ, 07732, which are settling away from the main building. Contractor shall provide all work to underpin and raise these structures back into proper position as per the Scope of Work included in the contract documents Proposers must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue and with the New Jersey Department of Labor as a Public Works contractor at the time the bids are received. The Authority invites the participation of Minority-Owned Business Enterprises in this solicitation and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bidding. SCOPE OF WORK- The scope of work shall minimally include the labor, materials and equipment to perform the work as follows: 1.Provide all labor, material and equipment to install helical piles with concrete underpinning brackets on the entry vestibule and concrete landing/step to the apartment complex. Contractor shall provide design to meet the project requirements to the architect for review. 2. Excavate on both sides of the entry vestibule and concrete landing/step that has settled. 3. Install helical piles on each side of the settled entry vestibule and concrete landing/step. 4. Install underpinning brackets from the top of the pile to the bottom of the concrete footing and concrete landing/step on each side. 5. All piles and steel to be galvanized. 6. Raise outer edge of entry vestibule as required to close the gap that has formed between the vestibule and the building. Restore masonry & caulk building joints between the entry vestibule and main building. 7. Once underpinning is completed backfill and regrade affected area, top 8" offill shall be clean top soil and finish with grass seed.
