Rehabilitate Little Round Top Visitor Use Area & Rehabilitate Various Routes

The project site is located at the Gettysburg National Military Park, located in Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Specifically, the work is at Little Round Top, Ayers Avenue, Berdan Avenue, Birney Avenue, Crawford Avenue, Cross-Brooke-DeTrobriand Avenue, Hancock Avenue, Howe Avenue, Humphreys Avenue, North Sickles Avenue, Sedwick Avenue, South Confederate-Sykes Avenue, Big Round Top Parking Area, South Sickles Avenue, Devils Den Parking Area, United States Avenue, West Confederate Avenue, Virginia Memorial Loop Parking Area, Longstreet Tower Parking Area, and Wheatfield Avenue. At Little Round Top, the work consists of all work associated with the stabilization, restoration and rehabilitation of Little Round Top. All work must adhere to the Secretary of Interior’s Standards, as per Section 01 35 91 “Historic Preservation Treatment Procedures”. Work includes but is not limited to temporary monument protection measures, tree protection fencing, traffic detour devices, permitting, demolition of asphalt road and parking, Telford Base protection measures, select areas of asphalt mill and overlay, removal of gravel shoulder, removal and stockpile of topsoil aggregate shoulder, removal of wheel stops, removal of detectable warning strips, salvage select landscape boulders, select removal of boulders and rock outcroppings, demolition of culverts and headwalls, demolition of retaining walls, demolition of signage, demolition of fencing, salvaging and reinstalling stone stairs, and stripping of topsoil, removal of trees, various height stumps to remain, shrubs and groundcover.
