| Description | Converting one existing basin (0584DP) into a regenerative stormwater conveyance, converting one existing basin (0103DP) into a sand filter, and restoring approximately 1,650 of eroded stream. This project is in the Dranesville Magisterial District of Fairfax County, Virginia. The project includes the following: regenerative stormwater conveyance structures, regenerative stormwater step pools, sand filter construction, furnishing filter bed materials, rock steps, cast-in-place concrete, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) underdrains, step pools, rock sills, boulder riffles, imbricated rock, modified cross vanes, log sills, reinforced bed mix, clearing, tree removal, excavation, earthwork, storm sewer construction, erosion and sediment control, invasive plant eradication, landscape planting, permanent maintenance access road construction, curb and gutter replacement. The proposed stream restoration work shall comply with Natural Channel Design (NCD) standards. |
