Sidewalk Improvements

Approximately 75 miles of public sidewalk. The Community Services Department is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the sidewalk network. The following is a list of planned maintenance projects. Note that there are also unplanned areas that require attention throughout the construction season. These areas can be as little as 10 ft of reset curb to 500 ft of new curb and as little as 2 square yards of sidewalk and greater. The contractor must be able to assist the city with these projects as needed. Reconstruct concrete sidewalk on the western side of Central Avenue between Planate Fitness and Walgreens. Approx. 800 lf. Reconstruct concrete sidewalk on eastern side of Central Avenue along the front of the Shaw’s Plaza. Approx. 950 lf. Also, from the front of Sherwin- Williams to the Weeks Ln. intersection. Approx. 750 lf. Spot improvements at front of 207 Locust Ave. Spot improvements on Hanson Street.
