Description

Las Vegas Valley Water District invites qualified firms or individuals (Bidders) to submit Bids for the following Work, see Contract Documents for full details: The Work Site is located at The Springs Preserve, at 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV89107. The Work consists of providing labor services and supervision, construction equipment, tools and subcontracted services to construct a permanent access road from the south public parking lot at The Springs Preserve to the existing blowoff vault located at Station No. 75+00.00 and over the West Valley Lateral transmission pipeline. Construction of the permanent access road includes the construction of new retaining walls on both sides of the access road, storm water drainage structures and a pipe encasement to be located over the West Valley Lateral transmission pipeline. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 9/15/2022 10:00:00 AM (PT) The Owner requires the Project commence within 30 consecutive Calendar Days after the effective date of the Final Notice to Proceed and the Project be completed within 120 consecutive Calendar Days after the effective date of the Limited Notice to Proceed. The Work is a Public Works Project as defined by Chapter 338 of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and all Bidders are required to comply with, and the Contract shall be awarded and administered in accordance with, the laws contained in that chapter. Hearing impaired individuals may request documents and obtain information by contacting TT/TDD: Relay Nevada toll-free at (800) 326-6868. Pursuant to NRS 624.700, Bidders and all their Subcontractors must be properly licensed Contractors in the State of Nevada for the scope of work proposed. Attendance at a pre-Bid conference, as specified in the Instructions to Bidders, is encouraged. Bidders are encouraged to read the Contract Documents before the pre-Bid conference to obtain a good understanding of the Work. Among other things, various aspects of the Work and some Contract provisions, including recent changes to standard Contract provisions, will be described. Comments and questions from potential Bidders are encouraged. Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security as described in Document 00 21 13, Instructions to Bidders and must accompany each Bid. The Contractor will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for faithful performance and payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract in accordance with Chapter 339 of the NRS. The Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to provide insurance as set forth in the Contract Documents. This insurance shall include coverage required by NRS 616 (Industrial Insurance) and NRS 617 (Occupational Diseases). The requirements of NRS 612 (Unemployment Compensation) are also in effect. Pursuant to NRS 338.143, the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. The Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities. Bids will be evaluated as prescribed by the Contract Documents and Nevada State law.
