Description | The project includes the following principal features: 1. Selective demolition of a portion of the existing concrete weir structure and miscellaneous fencing items. 2. Clearing and grubbing. 3. Temporary cofferdams. 4. Dewatering and surface water control. 5. Earthwork and other related work, including: a. Excavation, site grading, and backfill. b. Intake and transport channels. c. Geotextile fabric and rock slope protection. d. Aggregate base. e. Access roads and ramp grading. 6. Sheet piles, steel pipe piles, and cast-in-drilled-hole piles. 7. Concrete and reinforcement work, including a. Headworks structure with shallow foundation, piers, and transition structures. b. Ramp and apron improvements. c. Pedestrian bridge with deep foundations and ramps. 8. Control building, including concrete masonry walls and slab foundation. 9. Miscellaneous Metalwork: Stoplogs, bollards, storage racks, and guardrails. 10. Staff gages. 11. Mechanical work, including: a. Bottom hinged gates and control equipment. b. Compressed air and HVAC systems. c. LPG engine generator fuel system and exhaust pipe and duct. 12. Electrical work, including: a. Utility service installation. b. Automatic and manual transfer switches, panelboards. c. Grounding system. d. Interior and exterior lighting, security and sonar cameras, smoke detectors, and intrusion sensors. e. Feeding power and fiber to the Fremont Site. f. Wiring and interconnection between electrical and mechanical equipment/devices. 13. Project signage. 14. Security fencing and gates. 15. Commissioning. 16. Engineer’s field office. |
