Description

As of March 1, 2023, this project was awarded to Rocky Mountain Construction, LLC., awarded amount is $1,955,369.05. **As of February 03,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award is next Tuesday.** The Klamath County Board of Commissioners invite written sealed bids for work attendant to 2023 Stearns Corridor Roadway Improvements for the Department of Public Works. Construction of potable waterline, services and appurtenances, adjustment of sanitary sewer laterals, construction of storm drains and inlets, demolition of existing roadway and construction of new roadway with curb, gutter, and sidewalks. A surety bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Oregon, irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008, cashiers check or certified check made payable to the Klamath County Commissioners in the amount of 10% of the total bid must accompany the sealed bid. At least ten (10) days prior to bid opening, all bidders must submit to Klamath County a Contractors Prequalification Application, even if the contractor is already prequalified with the State of Oregon. The classes of work for this project are: EART, AGG, ACP, TTC, MHA,. (Most recent edition of Contractors Prequalification Application form must be used). General Contractor is not required to be prequalified for Temporary Traffic Control if the subcontractor performing that portion of the Work is prequalified as such with Klamath County Public Works. All contractors and subcontractors performing work on this project must be licensed with the Construction Contractors Board in accordance with ORS Chapter 701. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of the bid will be required of the successful bidder. Klamath County will reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may for good cause, reject any or all bids upon a finding of Klamath County it is in the public interest to do so. Klamath County reserves the right to waive informalities. All bids are subject to Oregon Law bid procedures. Upon notice of intent to award, a (7) seven-day protest period is available for bidders to submit a written protest of such intent to award by Klamath County. The bidder must indicate on his bid whether bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120. Bidder must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance requirements. This is a public works project, subject to BOLI wages and ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Contractors or Subcontractors working with asbestos cement Materials must be licensed according to ORS 468A.720 (Qualifications for license) Jeremy Morris, P.E., Director of Public Works Published Dec. 2, 2022. The Special Provisions are issued for the information of bidders submitting proposals for the project or work described herein at the time and place specifically indicated herein. They are the Special Provisions which, subject to such revision as may be made in accordance with provisions stated below, will be incorporated in and made a part of any contract for said project or work that may be awarded on the basis of a proposal received at said specific time and place. Work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to: Construction of potable waterline, services and appurtenances, adjustment of sanitary sewer laterals, construction of storm drains and inlets, demolition of existing roadway and construction of new roadway with curb, gutter, and sidewalks.
